blackbear Releases New Song “the idea”
American singer-songwriters Matthew Tyler Musto, aka blackbear released a new song “the idea” along with a music video on July 8, 2022.
The song is second single off of his upcoming album “in loving memory”, following “gfy” featuring Machine Gun Kelly.
He worked with blink-182's drummer Travis Barker on the track.
The track was written and produced by Andrew Goldstein, blackbear and Travis Barker.
The accompanying video was directed by Emil Nava. In the clip, blackbear and Travis Barker performed the song in a desert.
It was after recording “the idea”, blackbear was inspired to create an entire album that gave him that same feeling of nostalgia leaning into his pop-punk and emo beginnings.
Recently, blackbear revealed on social media that the new album will be released in August 2022. The album is dedicated to blackbear's biological father whom he was separated from at a young age.- source : Apple Music
