Coldplay Drops New Music Video for “Biutyful”
British rock band Coldplay, consisting of Chris Martin (vocals/keyboards), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums), has dropped a new music video for “Biutyful”.
The video was directed by Mat Whitecross, featuring puppet band The Weirdos. The puppet band was created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, and recently signed to Atlantic and Parlophone Records.
The puppet band lead singer, Angel Moo duets with frontman Chris Martin. Also the two bands performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in June.
The song is included on their ninth studio album “Music of the Spheres”.
Chris Martin said, “The Weirdos are a band who we're trying to help out. I think we thought that we've sort of come to the end of doing singles as Coldplay. I think we've probably basically finished doing that, in general. We can't go more poppier or single-y than [their BTS collaboration 'My Universe'] and that felt good and we're a bit older now. So we do have songs we want to bring some attention to, but with this, we asked The Weirdos if they would do the song and front it and we would feature.”- raHLFg6bkNI

The band said of the song, “That's quite an interesting song from a production point of view, because it's really kind of pushing the boundary for us in terms of vocal identity. The manipulated voice is almost like an alien character singing this song. Is it Chris' voice? That is highly, highly confidential. Nobody will ever know.
