Chance the Rapper Releases New Song “The Highs & The Lows” featuring Joey Bada$$
American rapper Chance the Rapper released a new song “The Highs & The Lows” from his upcoming sophomore album “Star Line Gallery”.
This time, he teamed up with American rapper Joey Bada$$ on the track.
The track sampled Five Stairsteps' 1967 song “Come Back”.
The track was written by Joey Bada$$ and Chance the Rapper. Produced by DexLvL and Chance the Rapper.
The accompanying music video was co-directed by Chance The Rapper and Troy Gueno.
Chance the Rapper said, “Thank you to all my fans and supporters that have been there since day one. I wanted to give you guys the opportunity — to all my real fans — to be the first to hear my newest piece, 'The Highs & The Lows' featuring Joey Bada$$.”
The new album is expected to be released in 2022.- Also, the song is an interdisciplinary work that was also made in collaboration with Chicago native DexLvL and Gabonese photographer Yannis Davy Guibinga. The piece was unveiled at Art Basel in Switzerland and also was on display on June 19 at Chicago’s Dusable Museum of African American History.
Yannis Davy Guibinga shared on social media, “Very excited to announce the unveiling of “The Highs & The Lows” in collaboration with Chance The Rapper at Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland. The unveiling will be part of Art Basel Unlimited and will happen, Thursday June 16th. We will be showing “The Highs & The Lows” music video as well as unveiling the piece that serves as cover art for the first time publicly, followed by a conversation about the process with me and Chance.
