Reneé Rapp Releases Debut Song “Tattoos”
American actress and singer-songwriter Reneé Rapp released her debut song “Tattoos” along with a music video.
The track was written by Reneé Rapp, Anton Göransson, Isabella Sjostrand, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack and Andrew Goldstein.
Produced by Andrew Goldstein and Anton Göransson.
Reneé Rapp hared on social media, “I was literally a baby forcing my family to record my 'concerts.' Always knew this is what I wanted to do. I knew it was what I loved more than anything. Ive dreamt of my first song coming out since I little. I've been telling y'all I'm going to release music for 6 years. I've been hustling at this shit for 5 years. I've been embarrassed turned down by labels for 4 years. At one point I was even in a girl group lmfao and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I'd get turned down and messed up all over again to be here. Y'all have stuck with me through all of that and more not even knowing it. Making music is the the only time I'm smiling like hell and nothing else means a fucking thing. Thank you for sticking w me. I love you like crazy.”
She is best known for winning the 2018 Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and for taking over the role of Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls. She plays Leighton in HBO Max comedy series The Sex Lives of College Girls.- Last December, she told Schön! Magazine, “Music is my first and greatest love. I've been writing and recording since I was 17, and it's all I've ever wanted to do. In learning a lot about myself this job has shown me how badly I need music in my life. Straight acting is fun, don't get me wrong, but in a perfect world, I'll get to fuse the two. Hopefully, next I'll be a full-time recording artist who is in some sort of dramatic movie-musical and some spy-secret-agent movie. Big dreams, big dreams.”
