Los Angeles-based DJ trio Cheat Codes, consisting of Kevin Ford, Trevor Dahl and Matthew Russell, released their third studio album “HELLRAISERS, Part 3” on May 27, 2022.
The album itself has three parts – each part has a distinct sound influenced by each member. The name of the album, “HELLRAISERS”, was the nickname given to the group by their late manager, Michael Theanne,
The debut album “HELLRAISERS, Part 1” was inspired by Trevor Dahl's pop-leaning sound. The second album “HELLRAISERS Part 2” was Kevin Ford's Hip-Hop leaning album.
“Hellraisers Part 3” is Matthew Russell's dance-inspired album.
The new album comprises 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Gashi, Loote, Bryn Christopher, ILIRA, Stondon Massey, Quarterhead, TV Noise, Marc E Bassy, Martin Jensen, Danny Quest, Icona Pop and Felix Jaehn.
The Cheat Codes said of the album, “Hellraisers Part 3 is finally here! It's the final installment of the Hellraisers Trilogy. Our vision for this project was to blend genres and create something outside the box of our normal sound. We wanted to make 3 unique albums that represented us individually, but still stayed true to whom the Cheat Codes really is.”
The trio continued, “Our main goal with Cheat Codes is to bring people together through music, and the fact that we're able to collaborate with such amazing artists in pop, hip hop, electronic, and rock is a vision we've had for a long time! Hope you enjoy these albums as much as we enjoyed making them!”- source : Apple Music
