Tyler Hubbard Releases Debut Song “5 Foot 9”
American country music singer-songwriter and a member of the Nashville-based duo Florida Georgia Line, Tyler Hubbard released a new song “5 Foot 9” along with a music video on May 20, 2022.
The song is his first solo single. He signed to EMI Nashville in May 2022 as a solo artist.
It was written by Tyler Hubbard, Jaren Johnston and Chase McGill. Produced by Tyler Hubbard and Jordan Schmidt.
The track is inspired by his wife Hayley. Tyler Hubbard said of the song, “Well I got to be honest, I have a confession, I missed it by an inch. She's actually 5'10". I went home that night and said, 'Babe, remind again how tall you are? You're about 5'9", right?' She said, 'yeah, I'm 5′ 10".' And I thought, well, here's a new song I wrote, today, I'm sorry I cut you short by an inch, but hope you like it.'”- RK9rT1ck90E

Also he shared on social media, “I'm so excited to share that my debut single “5 Foot 9” is finally here. I wrote this song with Jaren Johnston and Chase McGill, who are not only super talented songwriters, but guys I love and admire. Jordan Schmidt and I produced it, and the song truly took on a life of its own while we were recording.”
He continued, “I think the song is a little reminder that there are a lot of good things in life. After all, “God makes the good stuff”—whiskey, dirt roads, country music. But only He can make the great stuff that this song is really about. I'm grateful you're here, and excited to take you on this new journey with me.”
He plans to release his solo debut album this year.- source : Apple Music
