Maisie Peters Releases New Song “Cate's Brother”
British singer-songwriter Maisie Peters finally released a new song “Cate's Brother” on May 6, 2022.
She wrote the song about her best friend Cate Canning's brother and teased the song on TikTok back in February.
She met her brother at a Halloween party she hosted in 2021.
Maisie Peters had no idea it would become as big a hit as it did when she share the video, but the clip racked up over 700,000 views.
The track was written by Maisie Peters and Max Grahn. Produced by Fat Max Gsus.
The song is accompanied by a live video, which was directed by Erik Rojas.
“I wrote this song in Stockholm at a time I was revisiting a lot of the pop punk music I grew up listening to and thinking about how live I wanted my next era of music to feel,” Maisie Peters said of the song. “I always wanted to be in a band and so I channelled that energy into this song about my friend Cate's brother, that's become this whole universe bigger than both of us.”- zjqwfDqRiRo

SPIN asked Maisie Peters if Kate's brother knew about the song. She answered, "Okay, I can't believe you're asking me this, I'm so unprepared!
