Alec Benjamin Releases New Album “(Un)Commentary”: Streaming
American singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin released his sophomore album “(Un)Commentary” on April 15, 2022.
It is his first album in two years. Alec Benjamin shared on social media, “The last year and a half or so hasn't been the easiest for anyone. I myself have had a lot of ups and downs. I spent a lot of time reflecting and trying to find myself again. It feels so liberating to finally share new music with you.”
The album comprises 13-track, produced by Aaron Zuckerman, Lenno, Sam de Jong, Sir Nolan, SixTwentySix Productions, Steven Martinez and Zach Skelton.
He co-wrote the songs with Charlie Puth, Dan Wilson, David Hodges, Eli Teplin, Justin Lucas, Lenno, Nathan Fertig, RØMANS, Ryan Tedder, Sacha Skarbek, Sir Nolan and Zach Skelton.
On his music, he has presented his own life experiences through fictional characters. He said, “By using characters in a story as a tool, I didn't have to necessarily put myself out there as much.”
On the album, he discuss how the youth of today can make a difference. Alec Benjamin said of the album, “I think my generation has a lot of valid criticisms of everything that's happening in our country and in the world right now. The question is: are we going to tear ourselves apart, or are we going to leave this place better than we found it?”- source : Apple Music
