King Princess Premieres New Song “For My Friends” On BBC Radio 1
American singer-songwriter Mikaela Straus, aka King Princess will release her upcoming sophomore album “Hold On Baby” later this year.
From the album, she released a new song “For My Friends” along with a music video on March 18, 2022.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
The track was inspired by her best friends Cicely and Chloe.
It was written by Amy Allen, Dave Hamelin, Ethan Gruska and King Princess. Produced by Dave Hamelin, Ethan Gruska and King Princess.
The video was directed by Nick Harwood, starring Mikaela Straus, Alex Consani and Laine Philipps.
“I thought it would be extra fab to begin releasing this new record with a song about my two best friends from high school,” King Princess said of the song in a press release. “These girls have been through the pits with me, and the more time I spend with them as an adult, the more I'm reminded that they are my home. Recently, she joined in British singer-songwriter Griff and Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid's “Head On Fire” remix along with Danish singer-songwriter MØ.
She embarks on North American tour in support of the new album this summer. The tour kicks off at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver on July 5, 2022.
