Alison Wonderland Announces New Album “Loner”, Shares New Song “New Day”
Australian DJ Alison Wonderland announced her third studio album “Loner” would be released on May 6, 2022.
From the album, she released the fourth single called “New Day” on March 11, 2022, following “Bad Things”, “Fuck U Love U”, “Fear of Dying” and “Fear of Dying”.
It was written by Alexandra Sholler and Trent Kneiss. Produced by Alison Wonderland and Blush.
The accompanying music video was directed by Peter Don. Alison Wonderland said of the video, “Yes I'm a laser shooting cowgirl turning bad guys into flowers. Deal with it.”
The album consists of 12 songs, and is her first album in four years.
She said of the album in a statement, “I realized that I have always seen myself as the victim of my story. This time, something shifted in me, and I decided that I didn't want to be the victim anymore. Instead, whatever I wrote from here would empower me, and help me find strength in this loneliness.”
She continued, “For me, Loner felt like a rebirth. I owe it to whoever else is out there who was like me, wishing that they had an album like this to empower them to feel less alone and know that it's all going to be okay one day.”- Photo by Simply G
