Papa Roach Announces New Album “Ego Trip”, Shares New Song “Cut The Line”
American rock band Papa Roach announced their 11th studio album “Ego Trip” would be released on April 8, 2022.
It is their first album in three years since the 2019 album “Who Do You Trust?”.
The album comprises 14-track, including the previously released singles “Stand Up”, “Dying To Believe”, “Kill The Noise” and “Swerve” featuring FEVER 333’s Jason Aalon Butler and rapper Sueco.
The band frontman Jacoby Shaddix explains, “Now isn’t the time for comfort or conformity, but to be inspired and build something new. Something better, in order to channel something more.”
He said of the album, last year, “We're sitting on something special, man. This album is going to blow rock fans' minds. We are doing our best to project rock into the future but still maintain the guts and the purity of the genre and who we are as Papa Roach. So fans can expect to be taken on a wild ride on this one. And it's all things Papa Roach, dude. It's not like some self-indulgent, like, we got experimental and now we're making Radiohead OK Computer – which is a great record, by the way. For us, we really wanted to hone in on what we felt were the strongest elements of our band and then evolving those.”
From the album, the band released a new song “Cut The Line” along with a music video on March 1, 2022.
It was written by Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance and Tony Palermo. Produced by Nick Furlong, Colin "DOC" Brittain and Papa Roach.
The video was directed by Bryson Roatch.- afp8zinktxU
