Lizzy McAlpine Releases New Song “reckless driving” featuring Ben Kessler
American singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine released anew song “reckless driving” from her upcoming sophomore album “five seconds flat”.
She teamed up with Nashville-based producer Ben Kessler on the track.
The track was written by Lizzy McAlpine, Ben Kessler and Philip Etherington. Produced by Philip Etherington, Ben Kessler, Ehren Ebbage and Ryan Lerman.
The accompanying music video was directed by Gus Black.
Lizzy McAlpine said, “I want to give my fans something different with each record, because I'm different each record. I want to always be growing and moving forward as an artist. This song has taken so many different forms and we have spent so many hours on it but we finally ended up somewhere that feels true and honest to who i am as an artist and that is the most exciting thing.”- Ben Kessler shared on social media, “Lizzy McAlpine called me a year ago to ask me to join reckless and i lost my shit - a whole year later and i'm still on cloud 9. i am so so humbled to be a small piece of the lizzy mcalpine universe. we spent a good chunk of 2021 trying to crack this song - so many versions so many dead ends so many days imagining how good it would feel when we finally cracked it and released this fucker and i can't believe today is that day. last night i saw lizzy play for 3000 people in our hometown - it is so special to see the world lizzy has been building for yrs come to life in real time. what an exciting time to be your fan and friend lizzy and thank u for bringing me along!!”
The new album is set to be released on April 8, 2022. The album comprises 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Ben Kessler, Jacob Collier and FINNEAS -
