Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak's Silk Sonic Covers Con Funk Shun's “Love's Train”
American R&B duo Silk Sonic, consisting of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, released a cover of Con Funk Shun's “Love's Train” on Valentine's Day (February 14).
The original version of the song was released by American R&B and funk band Con Funk Shun from their tenth album “To te Max” in 1982.
It was written by Felton C. Pilate II and Michael Cooper. Pproduced by Bruno Mars and D'Mile.
“This is one of Silk Sonic's favorite songs originally recorded by the group Con Funk Shun,” Bruno Mars shared on social media. “Every time Anderson .Paak and I get behind instruments we play this. We love this song so much we wanted to sing it for y'all.”
Before the released of the song, the duo won International Group of the Year at the 2022 Brit Awards.
Also, Silk Sonic is nominated for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song with “Leave the Door Open”.
