  • Clean Bandit Performs “Rather Be” featuring BBC Concert Orchestra on BBC Radio 2 Piano Month

  • British electronic music trio Clean Bandit appeared on BBC Radio 2 Piano Month to perform “Rather Be” at BBC Radio 2 Piano Room.

The song was released in 2014 from their debut album “New Eyes”.
The original version of the song features British singer-songwriter Jess Glynne. It was written by Jack Patterson, James Napier, Nicole Marshall and Grace Chatto.
The band member Grace Chatto said of the song in 2014, “It's a love song about being completely content with the person that you're with. We usually write songs by writing all the instrumental parts first and only when that's finished start on the vocal. When Jack [Napes] wrote the original line, we didn't know it was going to be a love song at that point and then it developed into this really happy, sentimental thing.”
The song won Best Dance Recording at 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
This time, the band collaborated with BBC Concert Orchestra. Also, British singer-songwriter Kirsten Joy joined in performance as vocals.
The bans shared on social media, “We are currently preparing piano and strings arrangements of our songs, with beautiful 3-part vocals, to play LIVE on BBC radio 2. With some of the BBC Concert Orchestra and KAIZEN COLLECTIVE 🎻 🎹 ”
Clean Bandit will release a new song “Everything But You” featuring A7S on February 18, 2022.
