piri & Tommy Villiers Premiere New Song “beachin” on BBC Radio 1
British pop duo piri and Tommy Villiers premiered a new song “beachin” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The track follows up “soft spot”, which was released in June 2021 and reached #1 on TikTok.
It was written last summer by Sophie McBurnie, and Tommy Villiers, who also produced the track.
piri told Clara Amfo about how they made the song, “We basically lived in the we were living in the same student house, we locked down and we would just we didn't really have sessions we would kind of just like we're in Tommy's bedroom, and he would just make a beat and then be like, Oh, it's my wireless one. And we've just been to formula at Liverpool like on the heatwave last year. So it was just about that day basically.”
Tommy Villiers said, “trying to make a jungle track. I found a break, then started jamming over it on guitar with some Isley Brothers type of tones.”- source : BBC Radio 1
