XYLØ Returns With New Song “aliens”
American singer-songwriter Paige Duddy, aka XYLØ returned with a new song “aliens” along with a music video on January 28, 2022.
It is her first music in two years since the 2020 EP “Outsiders Club”.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut album “unamerican beauty”. It was written by XYLØ and Lee Newell, who also produced the track.
“'aliens' was written after a night with my childhood friends”, XYLØ said of the song in a press release. “We all come from different backgrounds and upbringings, but the one thing that joins us is the commonality of feeling lost. No matter how much or how little we have. And rather than being afraid of it, going along for the ride.“
The accompanying video was directed by Callum Walker Hutchinson and Lee Newell.
XYLØ shared on social media,“I hope you love this video because I my made my friends undergo 12 hours in prosthetics and they couldn't see all day lol couldn't of done it without these lovely iconic people 🛸👽”- The debut album is expected to be released in 2022. Last November, XYLØ shared, “It's been nearly a year since I've put out any music. I was always nervous to take a break this long because I figured by the time I came back that no one would care. Constantly questioning myself- from cradle to grave. But it was what I needed to really figure out wtf I wanted my first album to sound and look like! And so…I did it. I was able to live with songs I wrote 6 months/a year ago and see if I still liked them. I've never done that before. And yes, I do still like them… That's how I knew I loved what I was making. 👧🏼 I'm really nervous but also ready to stop hiding now…. My best era incoming I fear!!!!”
