High Street Releases New EP “Revival”: Streaming
Los Angeles-based rock band High Street, consisting of Noxigen (vocals), Erik Findling (guitar), Nicholas Metaxas (bass) and Brando Nikales (drums), released their sophomore EP “Revival” on December 9, 2021.
It is their first project in two years since the 2019 debut EP “Shut Me Out”.
The EP comprises 4-track, including the previous 3-track “Swallow Your Pride”, “Bad Blood”, “Light of Hope” and a new song “Rock Bottom Blues”.
The EP is based on a heavy guitar sound with a modern twist on elements of the '80s and '90s the hard rock, acting as a beacon for invigorating sounds.
Each song takes listeners on a journey of triumph, pain, love, and self-reflection while treating them to a unique combination of vocals and instrumentation that form a sonic odyssey.- High Street described track-by-track for the EP.
“Bad Blood”
“It is another parting of ways song, although a bit more complex. Disappointment, acceptance, understanding, and resolution with the situation reflected in the lyrics.”
“Light of Hope”
“Th song was written from the perspective of someone who has eventually built the resolve to overcome their trauma and is working day by day toward finding 'home' in their quest, whatever form that may be.”
“Rock Bottom Blues”
"The song is an angry breakup song with a touch of optimism in the bridge."
