Galantis, Lucas & Steve and ILIRA Release New Song “Alien”
Swedish DJ duo Galantis teamed up with Dutch DJ duo Lucas & Steve to release a new song “Alien” on December 10, 2021.
They recruited Swiss singer-songwriter ILIRA for the song. This marks the first time three artists have worked together.
The track was written by Flo August, ILIRA, Steven Jansen, Lucas de Wert, Jaro Omar, Henrik Jonback, Bloodshy and Charlott Boss.
ILIRA said of the song, “The topic is pretty much how I’ve felt my whole life, having multiple ethnic backgrounds and never really fitting into society, always being 'the other one.' Alien is the perfect metaphor and painting of my 'homeless' soul. We made it sound funny but barely anyone realizes the pain behind it. It’s great to wrap sadness into bubble gum and fun.”
Before the release of the song, Galantis worked with British singer-songwriter Years & Years for “Sweet Talker”.- source : Spotify
