Mr Bruce Releases New EP “Race To Nowhere [PART ONE]”: Streaming
Former British electro swing duo The Correspondents Ian Bruce, aka Mr Bruce released his solo project “Race To Nowhere” on November 26, 2021.
The EP consists of two parts and features 5-track as the part one.
He worked with London-based producer Angus Kemp. The EP is touching on an intense array of topics, from the climate crisis to the breakdown of his marriage in 2019, it's also a record that's haunted by the spectre of his late twin brother, who died just aged 20.
Mr Bruce said of the EP, “I set out to capture the point where universal and personal grief meet… I mix macro issues like the horrors of climate change with intimate details of the everyday. Musically, it's the old Motown formula. The songs have you itching to dance, but listen a little too closely and you may shed a tear!”
The part two of the EP promises to find Mr Bruce offering deep reflection on the untimely passing of his Correspondents partner-in-crime Tim Cole, who passed away from a pulmonary embolism aged just 35.
The part two of the EP is set to be released in early 2022.
Mr Bruce embarks on the UK tour next spring. The tour kicks off at The Lexington in London on March 23, 2022.
