FLETCHER Teams Up With Hayley Kiyoko for New Song “Cherry”
American singer-songwriter FLETCHER teamed up with Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Hayley Kiyoko to release a new song “Cherry”.
This marks the first collaboration between FLETCHER and Hayley Kiyoko.
The song is the third single of 2021, following “Healing” and “Girls Girls Girls”.
It was written by Hayley Kiyoko, Cari Fletcher, Jonah Shy and Mary Weitz. Produced by Jonah Shy.
FLETCHER said of the song, “Cherry is the prequel to my most recent single 'girls girls girls.' It's the curiosity you have about someone before you're intimate with them and kind of wondering what it would be like. When I was creating it I couldn't get the idea out of my head of having Hayley Kiyoko on it. We then went into the studio together and made it a million times better. It's a moment for the girls gays and theys.”
Hayley Kiyoko added, “I had such a blast working on Cherry with FLETCHER. We've been trying to collaborate for years and this song couldn't be more perfect for us! I hope the fans love it and can blast it while feeling flirty, playful and free.”- FLETCHER embarks on North American Tour next Spring. The tour kicks off at Venue Nightclub in Vancouver on February 22nd and will conclude at Gothic Theatre in Englewood on April 4, 2022, with total of 24 shows. All shows were sold out.
FLETCHER shared on social media, “!!!!! what the fuck !!!!!! an entirely sold out tour within a few minutes. pretty insanely beside myself right now. 2 nights in FUCKIN NYC AND LA??? having a hard time comprehending how this is happening and how much overwhelming love i'm feeling in this moment. in all honesty, thought about stopping music in many moments this past year, but this right here, you guys, is the part thats kept me going. seeing your faces and singing this music to you brings me so much light. all while getting to be myself? damn. i will cheers to that. see you in 2022 for all the feels 🥺. ”
After North American Tour, she will run Europe tour from April 21 trough to May 15, 2022.
