Fixation Releases New Song “Stay Awake”
Norwegian melodic metal band Fixation, consisting of Jonas Hansen (vocal), Martin Selen (guitar), Tobias Østerdal (guitar) and Martin Gravdal (bass), released a new song “Stay Awake” along with a music video on November 17, 2021.
The song is the first single since the 2020 debut EP “Global Suicide”.
The track was written by Jonas Wesetrud Hansen and Fixation. Produced by Tobias Østerdal, Martin Stenstad Selen and Jonas Wesetrud Hansen.
The video was directed by Vincent Engebretsen, starring Marikken Omvik.
Jonas Hansen said of the song, “Stay Awake speaks up against the hypocritical way some people view today’s society. A lot of people choose to be blind to situations they don’t want to face. While turning away from injustice, they focus instead on what’s most beneficial for themselves. It also brings up how a lot of people fight a revolution that they really don’t know what’s about.”
Martin Selen added, “Stay Awake is dark and mysterious song with tons of energy and rage, but at the same time it has a longing and melancholy character”
The song will appear on their upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released in 2022.- source : Apple Music
