Da Beatfreakz Premieres New Song “Money Calling” featuring RAYE, Russ Millions, wewantwraiths on BBC Radio 1
London-based production duo Da Beatfreakz, British singer-songwriter RAYE, British rappers Russ Millions and wewantwraiths premiered a new song “Money Calling” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The track was written by Rachel Keen, Mikkel Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen and Shaffer Smith.
The accompanying music video was directed by KC Locke
Da Beatfreakz told Clara Amfo, “Now the beat fast me my brother. We kept on her hearing the sample so we heard this one and obviously we're big Rihanna fan, big Stargate fans and we just wanted to bring it into our world without being the whole UK drill sound and we just did our thing we'll create as soon as we created we looked at each other said we've got a special.”
RAYE said, “I mean, so me in the Beatrix first linked up with the fiery horses song which I know that was like kind of the first time ever least some it may be of a different, more kind of like quick flows more rap. It's I'm singing the melody still do not mean but it was fun. It came together so quick. We went to the studio. I feel like the sample is like the first song everyone learned how to play on the piano. So you know that instant excitement and then the guys is like, come some bars and I was like, Is it okay cool.”
