MUNA Premieres New Song “Silk Chiffon” featuring Phoebe Bridgers on BBC Radio 1
Los Angeles-based electronic pop band MUNA, consisting of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin and Naomi McPherson, returned with a new song “Silk Chiffon” on September 7, 2021.
This time, the band teamed up with American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.
The band singed to Phoebe Bridgers' Saddest Factory Records this year.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
It was written and produced by Naomi McPherson, Katie Gavin and Josette Maskin. The accompanying music video was directed by Ally Pankiw.
Naomi McPherson said “Silk Chiffon” is “a song for kids to have their first gay kiss to.”
The band shared on social media, “silk chiffon feat. Phoebe Bridgers is finally out and it feels so good. a massive thank you to every single person who helped us bring this song to life. also, to everybody who worked on this video…we're so grateful.”
MUNA will support Phoebe Bridgers' North American tour. The tour kicks off at TCU Amphitheater in Indianapolis on September 8, 2021.
