ESSY Releases New Song “So Far”
Back in April, Nashville based electro-pop singer-songwriter Rachel Braig, aka ESSY released her second EP “Cry For Me”.
Following the EP, she dropped a new song “So Far” on July 23, 2021.
She wrote the song a couple years ago in her apartment and co-produced with Sam Martinez. It is her first ever producing.
“So Far was one of the first demos I ever produced myself,” ESSY told HollywoodLife, “I rediscovered it during quarantine and decided to co-produce it alongside my friend Sam Martinez, who brought the track to a whole new light. It was my first time experimenting with arpeggios and synth soundscapes. I essentially downloaded Omnisphere and made the most of it.”
She continued, “This song was written during a time of healing. There's not much you can do when a heartache hits, so I used to take long drives through Nashville listening to Chris Martin and Robyn to kill time. And this song truly is an amalgamation of those two influences, something I wrote to cry and dance to.”
Also, she co-wrote American country music singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes' “If You Change Your Mind”, which was released back in March.- source : Apple Music
