Vanessa Gimenez Announces Debut EP “Make It Rain”, Premieres New Song “Doing Better”
London-based singer-songwriter and former Swimming Girls, Vanessa Gimenez announced her debut solo EP “Make It Rain” would be released on August 12, 2021.
From the EP, she unveiled the second single “Doing Better” with an accompanying music video on July 1st, following the EP title track.
She wrote the song with Toby Scott and Swimming Girls-keyboardist Roo Primrose. The track was produced by David Wrench.
The video was directed by Lucas Wilson.
Vanessa Gimenez said of the song, “‘Doing Better’ is a post breakup song at its core. But the message can be applied to many things in today’s society. I feel like a lot of people feel the need to ‘one-up’ each other, probably because of things like social media toxicity. It is really funny though when you remove yourself from it and just observe people being weird.”- source : Spotify
