The Weeknd Premieres New Short Film for “After Hours”
Canadian singer-songwriter will The Weeknd release his fourth studio album “After Hours” on March 20th for the first time in four years.
Last month, he dropped the album title track, following previous singles “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights”.
Followed by, he premiered a new short film for “After Hours”. Directed by Anton Tammi, who also created other music video for “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights”.
The clip begins with smiling on stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live where he performed “Blinding Lights” back in January.
Then he walked out the studio and into the Los Angeles subway system where but his mental state gradually declines, him being dragged rapidly by some invisible force down. The video concludes with a grim scene that insinuates that he murders a young couple in an elevator.
The Weeknd will appear on Saturday Night Live as the musical guest this weekend. Also he will embark on The After Hours Tour in support of the album in North America. The tour kicks off at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on June 11th.
