Skip Marley & H.E.R. Premiere New Music Video for “Slow Down”
Last November, Bob Marley's grandson Skip Marley teamed up with Grammy-winning singer H.E.R. to release a new song “Slow Down”.
Both artist first performed the song at the Hollywood Bowl. The track will appear on his upcoming debut album.
Skip Marley told Vibe Magazine, “When I made the song, I was looking and wondering who could be a feature and then I thought of H.E.R. because I love her vibe and her energy really. As soon as I heard the [completed] track I was in love. I just grateful that she jumped on the track with me, it means a lot.”
The new music video for the song was premiered on January 2nd, directed by Lacey Duke, who shot the video in New York City.
Skip Marley said, “We shot the video for it and I'm dropping an acoustic version of "Slow Down." It's more heartfelt.” He added, “The vibe is very street, very rural you know? There's a nice connection between a guy and girl, catching eyes for the first time. A lot of things happen and the next thing you know she's gone and I'm gone. I'm saying, 'Slow down, be in the moment with me. I saw you from across the room and I just had to say something.'”- source : Vibe Magazine
