  • BBC Top of the Pops Christmas 2019 Performances with Lewis Capaldi, Labrinth, Sigala, Jax Jones, Ella Henderson and More

  • BBC Top of the Pops was returning once again on the Christmas. The TV program aired on December 25th, featuring Lewis Capaldi, AJ Tracey, Jorja Smith, Freya Ridings, Tom Walker, Labrinth, Jax Jones, Ella Henderson, Dermot Kennedy, Jack Savoretti, Sigala, Becky Hill, The Script, Mabel and James Blunt. Fearne Cotton and Clara Amfo were hosts.

Sigala and Becky Hill performed “Wish You Well”, which was released back in May. The song marks their first collaboration and reached No. 8 on the UK Singles chart.
Jax Jones and Ella Henderson performed “This is Real”. Originally, Jax Jones recorded the song with Selena Gomez in 2017. But it would not release. Two years later, Ella Henderson joined in the song as a replacement for Selena Gomez. It was released in September.
Labrinth played “Something's Got To Give” from his second album “Imagination & the Misfit Kid”, which was released on November 22nd. The album is his first LP in seven years.
  • AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith performed “Ladbroke Grove”. AJ Tracey sampled Jorja Smith's “Wandering Romance” on the track and released back in January. He said, “There’s a Jorja Smith sample on the vocal. I’ve known her for a while, and it’s really cool that we’ve both come a long way. I don’t really use female vocalists much, but she’s one of my favorite vocalists.”
Lewis Capaldi performed “Someone You Loved”, which appeared on his second EP “Breach” and debut album “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent”.
The song reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Lewis Capaldi said about topping the Billboard Hot 100, “I feel like America’s sweetheart, at least for a moment. I feel like I’m the sweetest heart in all of the U.S. of A. I feel like I’m a wrestler, and I’m just walking out [to the ring] and there’s an American flag, and I’m saying, ‘U.S.A! U.S.A.!’ That’s what I feel like, a wrestler. I have no clue why this piano ballad has done what it’s done. I never thought we were writing a big song here. I just wrote a song and, thankfully, people seemed to like it.”
