Lauv & LANY Premiere New Music Video for “Mean It”
Last month, American singer-songwriter Lauv collaborated with Paul Klein of Los Angeles-based alt-pop band LANY to release “Mean It”.
Both artists premiered a new music video for the song, directed by Phillip Lopez.
The video follows them as they go on a treasure hunt in the desert. Much like the song lyrics that depict a relationship based on false promises, the video sees them on a journey where they try to make sense of what's real and fake in the psychedelic world around them.
The track will appear on Lauv's debut album “How I'm Feeling”, which is set to be released on March 5, 2020.
Lauv told The Line of Best Fit, “Paul [Klein] and I had been talking about working together for a long time, then one day I texted him the idea for the song and it just clicked. So we all got in the studio and had a grand ol’ time finishing the record. I’ve been a fan of LANY for a long time, and I think it’s a perfect blend of our two sounds, so I’m super stoked and honored to have this song together.”- source : Dork
