Sasha Sloan Releases New Music Video for “Faking It” from New EP “Loser”
Last November, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Sasha Sloan released her long-awaited second EP "Loser".
From the EP she dropped a new music video for “Faking It”, following "Older". It was written by King Henry and Sasha Sloan.
She told Harpers Bazaar about the song in an interview, "I think I was stuck in a relationship and I didn't know how to get out of it because I didn't want to hurt him. And I think he didn't even know I wasn't happy until I broke up with him. He realized that we weren't right for each other. But I started telling everyone else around me that I wasn't happy, instead of [telling] him. I'd be like, "I'm so miserable," and when I come home I'd be like, "I love you." There were two sides of me. So I was faking it and then I broke up with him."
The EP "Loser" comprises of 6-track and follows up the debut EP "Sad Girl", which was released in April 2018.
She plans to release another EP this year, afterwards, she will deliver her debut album.- Sasha Sloan is known as a songwriter for Camila Cabello, Kygo and Charli XCX. Currently she worked on LANY's new album. “I’ve been focused on Loser for the last couple months. I just did a lot with LANY and I’m going in with LP soon. Who I love. I’m mostly just focused on doing my own thing. And my upcoming tour and writing more for me. But, so far that’s who I’m excited to work with,” she said.
She will embark on a headline tour in March and April, along with British singer-songwriter Lauren Aquilina.
The tour kicks off at Holocene Portland in Portland on March 16, 2019.
