BROODS Premieres New Music Video for “Peach”
New Zealand synth-pop duo BROODS premiered a new music video for “Peach”, which is the first single from their forthcoming third studio album “Don't Feed the Pop Monster”
The duo wrote the song with Tommy English (BØRNS, Kacey Musgraves) in Nashville last November. The song was released back in earlier August.
A director Sam Kristofski created the video that BROODS appears on the set of a ’70s talk show, but there’s a surreal twist, which the duo performs the song with ABBA drag and ’70s disco balls.
"Our aim with this video was to make something beautiful and erratic," the duo told BAZAAR.com. "The song itself is a celebration of chaos so the video had to be just as colorful and strange."
"The narrative basically follows the different versions of us we can become and I’m so pumped to introduce my alter ego 'Peaches Magenta' to our fans," Georgia Nott of a half of the duo added. "We think its important for us to break away from the moody, monochrome Broods that we used to be and lighten it up a bit."
After the release “Peach”, the duo released a new song “Eyes A Mess” from the album on August 30th. The album is set to be released early 2019.- source : Harper's Bazaar
