Panic! At The Disco Premieres New Music Video for “High Hopes”
American rock band Panic! At The Disco has dropped a new music video for “High Hopes” directed by Brendan Walter and Mel Soria.
The song is the second single from the the sixth studio album "Pray for the Wicked" the release back in June.
It was written by Cook Classics, Tayla Parx, Samuel Hollander, Jake Sinclair, LOLO, Ilsey Juber, Jonas Jeberg, Jenny Owen Youngs and Brendon Urie.
In the clip, frontman Brendon Urie walks up side of skyscraper. In a press release, the band said of the video, “No matter how hard your dreams seem, keep going. You might even have to climb up the side of a building in downtown LA, but it’ll all be worth it at the top. Stay up on that rise.”
The band performed the song at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 20th.
Brendon Urie said of the song;
"I want[ed] to talk about my childhood and having this dream as a kid. Making a cardboard cutout of a guitar and standing front of the mirror, dreaming of being on stage. Now it’s come to fruition, and that is what [“High Hopes”] is about. It’s [this] all encompassing idea of how it started and where I am now [and] the vision I had."- IPXIgEAGe4U
