Kodie Shane Premieres New Song “Sing To Her”
Atlanta-based rapper Kodie Williams, aka Kodie Shane has dropped a new song “Sing To Her”.
The song is the lead single from the her upcoming debut album, following up the previously released song "Love & Drugz II" featuring Trippie Redd.
The debut album is expected to be released in September 2018.
Kodie Shane is known as a sister of Brandi Williams, who is a member of American girl group Blaque.
She started rapping and producing at the age of 14. She signed to Epic records in 2017.
Before making the deal with Epic, she has released two EPs "Little Rocket", "Zero Gravity", mixtape "2060" and a debut album "Back from the Future" as independent.
The new album is her first LP under major label, a compilation of music written throughout her teen years.- She told WWD about the album in an interview;
“I pretty much always knew I’d been doing entertainment or something in that realm. I never really knew where I fit in, so once I found music when I was 15, 16, I was like ‘yeah. This is what I want to do.’ I discovered that I even had an actual talent for it and I discovered that I could really write.
I’m about to be 20 in October, so it’s just growing up and growing out. I’ve been making this album my whole life. I want it to be so big I don’t even need to drop another album like Lauryn Hill.
After the album drops, who knows what’s going to happen. I’m riding off into the sunset. I should, shouldn’t I?” - source : WWD
