Gorillaz Premieres New Song “Garage Palace” featuring Little Simz on Apple Beats 1
English virtual band Gorillaz premiered a new song “Garage Palace” from their fifth studio album “Humanz” super deluxe vinyl edition. Also the band dropped a music video the song on YouTube. The song received its first play during Apple Beats 1 radio show with Zane Lowe.
The song features British rapper Little Simz and was written by Damon Albarn and Simbi Ajikawo. The video was directed by Noah Harris and animation directed by Nicos Livesey, stylized like a classic eight-bit video game.
About the new song, Damon Albarn said;
"I just was really struck by her kind of individualism. She’s just not part of a scene, and I think that's great for her."-
The new album “Humanz” was released on in April 2017 and contains 20-track (Standard edition), featuring guest appearances from Vince Staples, Peven Everett, Popcaan, De La Soul, Danny Brown, Kelela, Grace Jones, D.R.A.M., Anthony Hamilton, Mavis Staples, Pusha T, Jamie Principle, Zebra Katz, Kali Uchis, Benjamin Clementine, Jehnny Beth, among others. The album reached number 2 on the US Billboard 200.
