Beth Ditto Premieres New Song “Oo La La” on VEVO
American singer-songwriter Beth Ditto has delivered a new song "Oo La La" via VEVO. The song is taken from her upcoming debut solo album "Fake Sugar", which is due out on June 16th. The track is rock vibes sound like Rolling Stones.
From the album, the lead single "Fire" was already released in April.
Last month, she appeared on BBC Radio 1, where she talked about the debut album;
"I probably have seen more of 65 to 80 songs – a lot of digging. I don't play anything, so I'd go into these different writing sessions with people I didn't know.”
Beth Ditto is known as the lead singer of blues-punk band Gossip. The band has released 5 albums, so far. But, Beth Ditto announced the split of the Gossip in 2016. She intends to focus on her clothing line and new music as a solo artist.
On the debut album, she collaborated with songwriter and producer Jennifer Decilveo. She said about Jennifer Decilveo;
"She (Jennifer Decilveo) was the rollerblades to my roller skates. We'd argue all day long and I loved it. There wasn't a genre I had in mind. I just wanted to do stuff that just seemed right and felt right. … I tried to be very uncool."- She will perform live at some fesivals in Europe and North America the likes of Rock Werchter 2017, OpenAir St.Gallen 2017, Festival Garorock 2017, Montreux Jazz Festival, Flow Festival 2017 and Reeperbahn Festival 2017.
