Feist Premieres New Song “Century” Featuring Jarvis Cocker on Apple Beats 1
Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter Leslie Feist, aka Feist premiered a new song "Century". The song received its first play during Apple Beats 1 and features Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker.
The track is taken from her upcoming fifth studio album "Pleasure", which will be released on April 28th. It was co-written by Leslie Feist, Jarvis Cockerand and Brian LeBarton.
The new album includes 11-track and co-produced by Mocky and Renaud Letang. It's Feist's first album in six years since "Metals".
She embarks her own tour to promote the album at Trinity St. Paul in Toronto on April 27. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
Also she paid tribute to Leonard Cohen at the 2017 Juno Awards on April 2nd, where she covered "Hey, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye".
About the song, she stated;
"Mocky is the drummer on that track, and it's only the two of us on that track, and we were saying it's just a couple of human bodies just moving, bashing things. The whole record is pretty much Mocky and I in that face-to-face of – it’s pretty stark instrumentally. It's the two of us and at the end of the day our motto is kind of 'how to hit what and how hard' – that’s the motto."-
