Cheat Codes Premieres New Music Video for “Shed a Light” Stripped-Down Acoustic
American electronic music DJ trio Cheat Codes dropped a new music video for "Shed a Light" acoustic version. Directed by Kevin Slack.
Back in November, Robin Schulz and David Guetta released this song, and their music video was premiered in January 2017. Cheat Codes joined in the song as a guest artist. The track peaked at #24 on the UK Singles chart.
The song was written by David Guetta, John Ryan, Dennis Bierbrodt, Jürgen Dohr, Guido Kramer, Giorgio Tuinfort, Jacob Kasher, Ammar Malik, Jason Evigan and Robin Schulz.
This time, in addition to Cheat Codes (Trevor Dahl, Kevin Ford and Matthew Russell), Morgan Paros as a violinist and Kyle Jordan Mueller as a drummer joined in the music video.
About the video, Cheat Codes stated;
"'Shed A Light' was such a great opportunity for us; as we were able to collaborate with Robin Schulz and David Guetta; who we've been following for years. We decided to make a stripped down version as a way of putting our own spin on the song, and create a vibe that people could enjoy outside of a club / festival environment. We started getting into music when were younger, preforming in rock bands, and jamming in our basements, so being able to do that again, but in a studio setting is amazing!"- source : CLASH
