Official Trailer for Immortal Samurai Film “Blade of the Immortal” Starring Takuya Kimura
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the official trailer for Japanese jidaigeki action film “Blade of the Immortal”. The film is based on the eponymous manga series "無限の住人" by Hiroaki Samura. Directed by Takashi Miike, starring Takuya Kimura, Hana Sugisaki, Sōta Fukushi, Hayato Ichihara, Erika Toda, Kazuki Kitamura, Chiaki Kuriyama, Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Ichikawa Ebizō XI, Min Tanaka and Tsutomu Yamazaki.
The film was premiered out of competition at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. It is scheduled to be released on November 3, 2017. In Japan, the film was released in April 2017.
Plot:
Manji, a highly skilled samurai, becomes cursed with immortality after a legendary battle. Haunted by the brutal murder of his sister, Manji knows that only fighting evil will regain his soul. He promises to help a young girl named Rin avenge her parents, who were killed by a group of master swordsmen led by ruthless warrior Anotsu. The mission will change Manji in ways he could never imagine.- Title:
